This week I am doing things a little differently.
I was approached and asked if i would start featuring blogs on Friendship Fridays to help blogs get their names out and all i had to say to this was HECK YES I WILL!!! There are some amazing blogs out there that have not been discovered and so im going to help them get their name out! I am featuring 2 blogs today and I ask that you check them out and give them a follow if you like what you see.
I also would like to say one small thing before i set you up with the link list...
HRH Mommy (one of my featured bloggers)wrote an amazing post today about FOLLOWERS vs. READERS talking about how so many people follow for number purposes and hardly ever look at the content of each blog. This brought to my attention how so many other blog hops require you to follow certain people, have certain rules etc. Im not going to do that ... my blog hop has never had any rules... i have 2 wonderful blogs i love and am merely suggesting for you to check them out. Feel free to add your name to the list... and follow as many people or as little as you would like. I also have a super cute button i would love for you to share if you so choose!

Thanks for hosting, I am glad to see that there are others who also care about who they are following. I try to go through a blog and read a few entries, heck I have found some that I have to go all the way to the beginning to read.
It should also be about quality and not just qty.
And every day I go through my blog roll and if something jumps out at me I go and comment. Just trying to be a good follower, you know?

I totally agree that there is a difference between readers and followers. Some people just follow because you are in a "group" or because of a bloghop. While there are others, that still may be from a "group" or bloghop, but they take the time to read your posts and comments. While the others, you have no idea if they are reading or not, or just there to get their number up.

Great post! While having followers is great, I would rather have fewer followers and more readers. I also only participate in hops that don't require a post. I just don't want my blog to be about which hops I'm participating in that day.

However, I can already tell you that I am in total agreement about that subject. I do not like 'hit and run' comments, I guess you would say. If you are not interested in reading my blog and learning a little about me, then why follow? And vice versa?
Last night, I stopped by a blog hop that I had participated in a few weeks ago. I was going to do so again, however, their rules are absolutely ridiculous! They require that you not only create an ENTIRE POST about their blog hop EVERY Friday, but you can not link to any other blog hop or participate in any other blog hop but theirs. Period. Ummmmmm. No thank you.
I think I may have made a decision today. Next week, I will probably only participate in your blog hop and a couple of others who do not have all the rules and aren't legalistic about the whole thing. We are here to blog, have FUN and make new friends! I'm very proud of you for creating this wonderful blog hop and making it fun and free!

oh my i so agree with what you posted! it's so annoying when people comment my blog and ask for me to follow them back.. i only do blog hops so people will find me and hopefully will follow for sheer fact i have something they're interested in! thanks for putting that out there :).. i never follow unless it appeals to me and thats that!
