even tips on helping children lead healthy lifestyles too!
With 2011 approaching, we all tend to look for a resolution to keep us motivated, the problem is that most of us set ourselves up for failure by making our goals outrageous. Maybe start small, tell yourself you will take a walk as a family at least three days a week. Or make small changes to dinner each evening...using whole grains or smaller portions. Most importantly, find exercise that works for YOU. Something you like may be totally different than what your family/friends enjoy doing, or maybe all of the people around you do not exercise at all? Exercising is contagious and if people around you see your changes and results, they'll want to jump on board! If you're ready for some big changes when it comes to health and fitness, try setting a goal of running a marathon, triathlon, or 5K! If running isn't for you, try the local health clubs, they are usually running GREAT deals this time of year! As always, I am here for my readers and will do my best to give you some tools for success along the way!

Great post! All of this is so true!
I'm not a momma but I've definitely been at this point in my life. That was four years ago now (December '06/January '07) and with a "slow and steady" attitude from that time until about mid-2008 I slimmed down, toned up and I began eating far healthier...and I haven't had much trouble at all keeping things that way :)
Best of luck to you! Maybe this will serve as my motivation to do the same :)

Thanks for your post. After reading this Mom's Guide (http://www.1dental.com/moms-guide/), I started taking inventory of what I feed my son and family. I never realized how much sugar and processed food we eat! It's encouraging to know others are trying to get healthy too. I realize the changes start with me!
Great motivation!!! After having my second child 9 months ago I really need to get healthy again...working out and just feeling better overall about myself. Look forward to following you along the way!
